I organised some keys from old typewriters and computers at my favourite fleamarket (Berlin Arkonaplatz). With a regular picture frame and some glue I`ve built a doorplate with my surname out of them. Today I spent my afternoon at the Stasi museum (Ministry for State Security in the former GDR). There I´ve seen this nice and simple wall decoration I could easily imagine to install in my own flat. These squares are just demounted seats of used office chairs.… weiterlesen

We had a deliviery of new tables in my office. The desk tops were protected with simply pressboard crossbars around the edges. I rescued all the wood from the recycle bin to install them in my flat as a curtain. All I needed was a pelmet and some cable connectors.

Found some old windows some months ago while a walk through my area. I had them on my balcony since then. Unfortunately one side got broke in this time. Now they are hanging down from my ceiling just in front a self printed poster.

Ikea Stolmen system used as a bike rack in my bedroom. Not really the cheapest solution, but at least no more black stripes from the wheels on my walls. And as a spin-off, the floor is much easier to clean. Also used for my selfmade fixie.

Simple and cheap DIY project. Based on IKEA RATIONELL VARIERA (1,49€), a lamp socket (5€) and a plastic folder (0,70€). To install the socket there`s only a simple cutter needed. The plastic folder covers the front to make the light smooth and the bulb invisible. The light is much stronger than it seems on the pictures. The following pictures are showing some more details…
